25Mar Our dear priest Gemma is out and we have rescheduled the Sunday Serivce to a Sunday Festival Choir and BBQ at 5:30pm
26Mar Keeping a close watch on Narelle predictions using only BOM information. All events scheduled to be inside the church or hall.
27 Mar midday The Taster tonight will start and stay in the Hall at 7pm so we can accommodate the Box Office and dont have to change venues midway. If any groups are not comfortable to travel this evening they can opt to withdraw. Just let Matt know.

Festival information
FREMANTLE SONGFEST
Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March 2026
The festival will all take place at St Paul’s Church, Hall and Amphitheatre, 162 Hampton Road, Beaconsfield
This year’s festival will be held on Palm Sunday and we are channelling themes of SHARING, SONG and SERVICE to honour that.
We welcome participation from people of all nations and all faiths including no faith.
The festival will comprise:
1. An opening SongFest “Taster” on Friday evening.
All attending Choirs will sing two songs each folowed by supper in the Hall.
The FESTIVAL CHOIR learn songs from Monica Lacey and Coralie Kan. The singers will learn a small number of songs in workshops on Saturday morning at 11am and on Saturday afternoon at 5:30pm.
Choir concerts on Saturday afternoon 1:30 – 5:10pm and Sunday afternoon 3:30 – 6:00pm
This year will Peppermint will serve DINNER on Saturday night right after the concerts and workshop finish. The SongFest Festival Club singlaong with Stewart Greenhill will follow on. Stew’s special online song voting system and lyrics will be in play!!
The culmination of the festival will be the Palm Sunday Service at 6pm Sunday evening in the amphitheatre, just after sundown. The Festival Choir will perform their songs led by led by Coralie and Monica. St Paul’s priest Rev Gemma Baseley will conduct the service. There will be a BBQ dinner in the church grounds after the service.

If your group is not performing this year, you can still participate in the FESTIVAL CHOIR by purchasing a weekend pass to attend both workshops (Sat 11am and 5:20pm) and sing in the spectacular Sunday evening “Palm Sunday Service”. All concerts and meals included.
