  • Fri night Opening Concert ($15) – the only chance to see Kavisha Mazzella in concert + Ebb Tide Men + Peppermint
  • Five Saturday afternoon concerts on one $10 ticket

  • Weekend Pass – All events plus Fri night Taster, Sat night singalong, lunch on Saturday and afternoon tea on Sunday.  Includes the “Choir for World Peace” workshops and Finale ($45/$35 conc)

Festival information

FREMANTLE SONGFEST
Friday 19  to Sunday 21 April 2024

 

The festival will all take place at St Paul’s Church, Hall and Amphitheatre, 162 Hampton Road, Beaconsfield

The theme of the festival will be “A Prayer for World Peace”
We welcome input from people of all nations and all faiths including no faith.

The festival will comprise:
1. A one hour opening concert on Friday evening featuring Kavisha Mazzella,  host choir Peppermint and The Ebb Tide Men
Due to space limitations, there will be a small booking fee for weekend pass holders to reserve a seat. (now available on Trybooking for $5.00 )
This will be followed by a Taster/social event in the hall at 8pm (free to all festival pass holders).  Choirs will sing one song at the Taster.

2. The CHOIR FOR WORLD PEACE will be led by Kavisha Mazzella.  The singers will learn a small number of songs in workshops on Saturday morning at 10am and on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm.

3. Choir concerts on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon

4. A SongFest Festival Club singalong on Saturday evening featuring Bernard Carney and Stewart Greenhill and his band.  Stew’s special online song voting system and lyrics will be in play!!

5. The highlight of the festival will be the Service for World Peace at 6pm Sunday evening in the amphitheatre, just after sundown.  The Choir for World Peace will perform their songs led by Kavisha.  St Paul’s priest Rev Gemma Baseley will conduct the service.

There will be a byo picnic dinner in the church grounds after the service.

We invite singers not attending the festival with a choir to join the Choir for World Peace

Registered and unregistered singers are welcome to participate in the mass Choir for World Peace.  There are two ways to join:

A. Purchase a $30 weekend pass which includes Sat lunch and Sunday afternoon tea plus admission to all concerts and social events
B. Purchase a $15 workshop pass which covers the two Kavisha workshop and the finale performance but excludes food.
