Bob French from Merredin’s A Choired Taste organising committee writes

Thank you everyone for your interest in the Merredin SongFest for 2025. I’m sorry to have to tell you that our committee has decided not to go ahead with the SongFest this year for a variety of reasons. You may know that A Choired Taste has had a change of Musical Director since the Kalgoorlie SongFest last year and, while we are gradually rebuilding our repertoire, we are not confident we will be well enough prepared to perform to the standard we set for ourselves by May. In addition some of the key people in the organisation of previous SongFests are not able to commit themselves to help this time so we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 SongFest. We hope we will be able to see you at other SongFests later this year, and host you again at Merredin in coming years.
