Dear Songfest friends, choir directors, and singers,
The wait is almost over—it’s nearly time for this year’s Guildford Songfest!
Mark your calendars for September 13 & 14, 2025, as we gear up for the much-anticipated 8th annual Guildford Songfest.
There’s nothing quite like spring in Guildford, with charming streets lined with blossoming plum trees and vibrant gardens. As always, you’ll find plenty of welcoming pubs, cafés, and restaurants where you can eat, drink, and maybe even break into song!
After the wonderful success of our Massed Choir event, we’re delighted to bring it back for 2025! Once again, the exceptionally talented Kavisha Mazzella will lead a Big Sing Workshop on Saturday, where she’ll teach two four-part songs. These will then be performed during the Massed Choir event in picturesque Stirling Square on Sunday morning—an experience not to be missed!
And, of course, no Songfest would be complete without great food! To keep everyone fuelled throughout the weekend, Guildford Primary School will once again host their fantastic tea, coffee, and treat stalls outside our main venues. Plus, a variety of food trucks will be serving up delicious meals on Saturday night at our headline concert.
We can’t wait to see you there for another unforgettable weekend of music, community, and celebration!
A Special Invitation: Long Table Lunch
We’re excited to share that we’ve been working with Slow Food Swan Valley to bring you a wonderful long table lunch experience under the majestic Sugar Gums in Stirling Square on Sunday, after the Massed Choir event. This relaxed gathering will be the perfect way to wrap up the Festival.
The lunch will be a celebration of fresh, local produce, cooked on-site by Vincenzo Valleti, President of WA Slow Food. A portion of every meal sold will go towards the Slow Food Gardens Project, which supports the growth and use of local produce. (More details here: Slow Food Gardens Project)
The menu, using fresh, local produce, will includes entrée, main course, and dessert, with a vegetarian option available. There are only 150 places for this special event, with tickets purchased separately from your Songfest ticket. Long Table lunch tickets will be $50 and available through TryBooking. To be notified when tickets are released, sign up here.

Festival Venues & Registration
As always, Guildford’s historic buildings and scenic grounds will set the stage for a weekend filled with music. Concerts and workshops will take place in Stirling Square, St Matthews Church and Hall, the Guildford Town Hall, Wesley Chapel, Guildford Primary School, and the stunning Mechanics Institute. We can’t wait to see these beautiful spaces come alive with singing once again!
We now invite choirs to register their interest to perform at the 2025 Guildford Songfest. Choirs will be scheduled to sing on both Saturday and Sunday, and all attendees—including individual ticket holders—are warmly encouraged to join our workshops.
🎶 Expressions of interest close on May 31. Please fill out the form here and let us know if your choir director leads multiple choirs, or if your members sing in more than one group—this helps us with scheduling!
We also understand that some choirs have had changes in activity over the past few years. If you’re receiving this but no longer belong to an active choir, we still hope you’ll join us for a weekend of music, friendship, and celebration.
Rest assured, we’ll be following all health guidelines to ensure that the Songfest remains a safe, joyful, and uplifting experience for everyone.
