One Achord Community Choir sings a repertoire which includes acapella and accompanied music in four-part harmony, under the direction of Gillian Parker. Rehearsals are held twice a week on Monday evenings and/or Wednesday mornings. Both groups learn the same songs and perform together at community functions including the ANZAC Service at Wireless Hill, and participation in selected choir festivals. The One Achord repertoire is a combination of traditional, classical, rock, pop and gospel music, which often has audiences dancing in the aisles. The venue for rehearsals is St Stephen’s Uniting Church Hall, 2 MacKenzie Road, Applecross 6153.
